Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through effective behavior management strategies and support in daily living activities.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accuracy and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Teach and reinforce social skills, communication techniques, and adaptive behaviors to promote independence.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to develop care plans that address each client's unique needs.
- Maintain medical documentation and records in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to behavioral health and special education.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with patient care practices and the ability to assist clients with ADLs.
- Strong data collection skills and attention to detail in maintaining accurate medical records.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
