Duties
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment tailored to children's developmental needs
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outings to ensure safety at all times
- Support children's emotional needs through attentive caregiving, positive reinforcement, and behavior management
- Collaborate with parents and team members to monitor each child's progress and address individual requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area, including toys, supplies, and equipment
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow health protocols to prevent illness or injury
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive techniques and behavior management strategies
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
