Position Summary
Brighten Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our
growing pediatric team. This position provides skilled occupational therapy services to children under the
supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L). The ideal candidate is child-centered, dependable,
and motivated to deliver high-quality care while working collaboratively in a small, supportive clinic
environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled pediatric OT treatment sessions under the supervision of an OTR/L
- Implement treatment plans addressing sensory processing, motor development, visual-motor skills,
self-care, and functional participation
- Deliver therapy services ethically and in accordance with AOTA standards, state law, and payer
requirements
- Complete accurate, timely daily documentation within required timeframes
- Educate caregivers on home programs and carryover strategies
- Collaborate with supervising OTs, clinic staff, and families to support patient progress
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid, and clinic policies
- Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct
- Participate in clinic quality improvement, safety practices, and team communication
Qualifications
Required:
- Current New Mexico COTA license in good standing
- Graduation from an accredited OTA program
- Pediatric experience or strong interest in pediatric practice
- Ability to work under supervision and follow established plans of care
Preferred:
- Experience in outpatient pediatrics
- Familiarity with sensory-motor integration and play-based intervention
- Strong communication and documentation skills

- No weekend or holiday requirements (unless otherwise discussed)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
