Position Summary
Local Home Care Partners dba BrightStar Care of Plano is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources, Payroll, and Payables Coordinator to join our growing team. This role reports directly to Human Resources & Financial Operations Lead and is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, supporting HR functions, and managing accounts payable. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate strong integrity when handling sensitive employee and financial information. This is an in office position, with flexibility for payroll processing days.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time
- Audit payroll accounts and related systems to confirm accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Act as a bridge between HR, payroll, and finance teams to maintain smooth and coordinated processes
- Analyze payroll operations, identify process improvements, and provide reports to management each payroll cycle.
- Generate and maintain weekly KPI reports (e.g., utilization rates, overtime, rate changes)
- Conduct and verify pre-employment background checks, license, and certification verifications
- Support new employee onboarding by assisting with general orientation, explaining personnel policies, payroll, and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date personnel and electronic employee files
- Own accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and safeguarding of company assets
- Provide administrative support to HR and management as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in HR, payroll, or finance-related roles preferred
- Knowledge of payroll systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now, HR compliance (Workbright experience a plus), and accounts payable practices
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
