Our team takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and creating spaces where communities gather and kids play.As we continue to grow, we are looking to add an Assistant Superintendent to support our Director of Field Operations and help manage field activities across multiple job sites.Position OverviewThe Assistant Superintendent is a field-based role designed for a hands-on construction professional who has progressed into a foreman or lead role and is ready to take the next step into construction management.This position works directly with the Director of Field Operations and requires prior trade-specific experience in our core scopes of work. This is not an entry-level role and is not intended for candidates from unrelated trades.While there is no daily office requirement, this role involves regular travel to job sites throughout San Diego, Riverside, and Orange County.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Director of Field Operations with daily field operationsAssist in coordinating crews and subcontractors across multiple job sitesRead and interpret construction plans and specificationsPerform light estimating and material take-offs for orderingTrack materials, deliveries, and installation schedulesAssist with job documentation, reporting, and quality controlUtilize basic computer tools (Word, Excel, Bluebeam) for plan review and documentationVisit job sites regularly to monitor progress and address field needsHelp ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to planRequired Experience & QualificationsCandidates must have hands-on experience in at least ONE of the following trades:Playground equipment installationShade sail or shade structure installationStructural concrete construction, including large foundations, rebar installation, and concrete poursPlease Note: This position requires prior experience in one of the trades listed above.
