Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function. This role requires accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, check requests, and employee reimbursements accurately and in a timely manner
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation
- Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
- Reconcile monthly bank statements and assist with month-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or payment issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
- Proficiency in Yardi Breeze and/or Voyager and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information with integrity
