Residential and Commercial Cleaner

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential homes and commercial facilities, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents to clean floors, carpets, surfaces, and fixtures efficiently
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas when required, including sweeping walkways and cleaning outdoor furniture
• Manage heavy lifting tasks safely during the movement of furniture or large cleaning equipment
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service
• Ensure proper manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury during cleaning tasks
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned cleaning duties within scheduled timeframes
• Keep detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services is preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other tools
• Ability to handle cleaning detergents safely and responsibly while adhering to safety guidelines
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
• Physical stamina to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work when necessary
• Prior experience in housekeeping management or hotel housekeeping is a plus but not required
• Basic knowledge of cooking is a nice-to-have skill that can enhance client service when applicable

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
