Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part time Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children from infancy through preschool age. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities, managing classroom dynamics, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various areas of development including cognitive, physical, and emotional growth.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children.
- Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their needs are met throughout the day.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among children.
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience working with children in daycare settings or similar environments is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- First aid certification is required; CPR certification is a plus.
- Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
