WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
X-ray Technologist
Location: Onsite Melrose Park
Days/Hours: Every Other Saturday , 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
- Pre-screening for radiographic exam, documenting patient's medical history prior to any examination
- Sterilize and maintain X-ray equipment, maintains cleanliness or rooms and keeps adequate stock of supplies on hand
- Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns
- Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
- Administration of aseptic injection technique for contrast
- Document radiological services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
- Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to appropriate physician
- Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
- Ensures quality standards are met and promotes continuous quality improvement
- According to department standards and protocols set by radiologist, perform all job related functions as an X-ray Technologist, including all imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance without assistance
- Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT registered in radiography
- Ability to learn and operate DEXA equipment. Training will be provided
- Previousexperience favorable in diagnostic radiology/imaging setting
- Proficiency running advanced x-ray studies independently
- IEMA Licensure
- CPR-BLS Certification
