If youre looking for a career where your skills are valued, your contributions matter, and you feel at home, Bright Light is the place for you.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Mammography Technologist , Full-timeLocation: Onsite Bedford ParkDays/Hours: Monday- Friday, hours vary between 7:00 am - 6:00 pmWHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE: Document the medical history of the patient prior to any examinationMaintains cleanliness of room, sterilize mammographic equipment and keep adequate stock of supplies on handCarefully position patient in order to obtain correct imaging, ensuring patient is comfortable and safe throughout procedureExplain imaging procedure using tact, courtesy and poise to reduce anxiety to obtain patient cooperation, address any patient questions and concerns Maintains quality of mammographic equipment by following company standards and procedures, and promotes continuous quality improvementFollow company procedural protocol and standards maintaining production and quality mammogramsEvaluate and interpret captured images effectively Accurately document mammogram data into patient's chartAccording to department standards and protocols set by radiologist, perform all job related functions as a Mammography Technologist, including all imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner, and communicate related information to appropriate physicianProvide education, training and direction to new technologistsPerform all other duties as assignedFrequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistanceMust be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions QUALITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:Quick, accurate decision makingComfortable working in fast-paced environment with ability to perform effectively under stressful situationsExceptional attention to detail, highly motivated and organizedTechnical, skilled expertise and extensive knowledge in mammographic technologyEffective, composed communication for positive and effective patient interactionInterpersonal skills, amiable demeanor with passion and sensitivity towards patient careEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology programAART Radiography certification and current ARRT registration ARRT Mammography certification and current ARRT registration preferred40 hours advanced training in a MQSA approved program and 25 supervised exams in mammographyMaintain required mammography continuing education as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards ActPrevious experience desired in a diagnostic radiology/imaging settingIEMA Licensure CPR-BLS CertificationBENEFITS & PERKS:Competitive pay and growth opportunitiesPaid on-site training401(k) with company match, when eligibleMultiple private health insurance options Paid time off plus designated holidaysAnnual uniform allowanceQuarterly appreciation Breakfast/Lunch
