Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. In this role, you will create a warm, engaging, and safe classroom environment where toddlers can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development will help foster curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth among your students. You will implement age-appropriate curriculum plans, manage classroom activities, and collaborate with families to support each child's unique journey.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and creative play.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes safety, positive behavior management, and emotional well-being.
- Facilitate daily activities that support early intervention strategies, social skills, and foundational learning in areas such as math and language.
- Manage classroom routines including diapering or potty training, meal times, nap schedules, and transitions with patience and professionalism.
- Monitor each child's progress through observation and documentation; communicate regularly with parents about developmental milestones and concerns.
- Incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with childcare regulations, health standards, and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all children.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to toddlers.
- Experience in curriculum development focused on early childhood education including literacy education, math fundamentals, and physical education.
- Classroom management skills that foster positive behavior and effective learning environments.
- Familiarity with special education needs or early intervention programs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and external specialists.
- Previous experience with standardized testing or assessments for young children is advantageous but not required.
