Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to toddler developmental stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activity, and early intervention strategies.
- Lead classroom activities that promote child welfare, social skills, motor development, and foundational math concepts using child-centered teaching methods.
- Manage daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe, organized environment that encourages independence and curiosity among toddlers.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and childcare quality.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations through proper documentation of incidents and routine safety checks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with toddlers in early childhood education settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, and physical education for toddlers.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and colleagues.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
