Duties

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
• Collaborate with families to support children's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain an organized space conducive to active learning and child welfare.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s progress through standardized testing and informal observations to tailor instruction effectively.
• Support children’s social-emotional development by fostering respectful communication skills and promoting positive interactions among students.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, toddler care, preschool experience, and early childhood education best practices.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare, private school, or early childhood education settings is essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education activities tailored for young learners.
• Experience working with children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs.
• Familiarity with classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and child welfare.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
