Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence among young children
- Monitor and support children’s behavior using positive guidance techniques and effective behavior management strategies
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free classroom
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities to support holistic development
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that align with childhood development standards and best practices in early childhood education
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs of toddlers
- Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement
- Ability to provide first aid and respond effectively to emergencies or health concerns
