Position Overview- We are seeking for a passionate and dedicated individual for a Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will engage students in reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills while creating an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment.
- The Social Studies Teacher will focus on World and Florida History; studies weekly literature packet, and build communication skills.
Key Responsibilities as an Social Studies Teacher:
- Teach Social Studies to elementary and middle school students in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum.
- Foster critical thinking, civic responsibility, and an understanding of history, geography, economics, and culture.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and participation.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and classroom activities and Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Integrate technology and interactive learning strategies into classroom instruction.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student achievement and well-being.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school events.
- Support the school's mission, values, and commitment to academic excellence.
Qualifications:
Science Teacher:
- Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license (Preferred)
- Experience teaching science at [middle school grade level preferred]
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for scientific exploration and student development
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with curriculum design
- Familiarity with diverse learning styles and differentiation strategies
- Ability to integrate digital tools into instruction
