The hours for this role are Monday-Friday, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate educational activities focused on childhood development and early learning goals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and engagement
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
- Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among children
- Administer basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, ensuring immediate response to minor injuries or health issues
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute developmental activities tailored for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols related to childcare and daycare operations
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar early childhood education settings is highly preferred, but we will train the right individual!
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques
- Classroom management skills gained through teaching or caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting are valuable
- Familiarity with early childhood education practices, including toddler care and infant care
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations is essential
- Previous experience in daycare center environments or preschool settings enhances your ability to succeed in this role
