What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Sales & Patient Experience Coordinator position at Bright Eyes Vision?
We are a family-owned optometry practice that prides itself on making every patient feel welcomed, cared for, and truly part of our practice family. If you’re an outgoing, compassionate people-person who loves helping others feel confident and cared for, you’ll feel right at home here.
Because we’re a small, close-knit office, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is comfortable supporting both optical sales and front-office operations.
What You’ll Do
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style
- Confidently recommend lenses and frame options with a consultative, patient-first approach
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the daily appointment flow
- Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out
- Collect, update, and verify patient information in our electronic medical records system
- Support day-to-day office needs to keep the practice running smoothly
Who We’re Looking For
- Friendly, polished, and professional with strong communication skills
- Comfortable balancing sales and administrative responsibilities
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn
- Reliable, adaptable, and team-oriented
- Enjoys working in a smaller environment where your contribution truly matters
- Must be available for all office hours
This Role Is NOT a Good Fit If...
- You prefer to focus on only one task and don’t enjoy switching between sales and front-desk responsibilities
- You’re uncomfortable with sales conversations or recommending products to patients
- You thrive best in a large corporate setting with very defined roles and layers of management
- You’re looking for a behind-the-scenes position with minimal patient interaction
- You’re not comfortable pitching in wherever needed in a small office environment
Experience That Translates Well
- Optical, medical, or dental office experience preferred
- Retail or customer-facing sales experience with strong people skills is also a great fit
- Willing to train the right person with the right attitude
If you’re looking for a role where you can build relationships, wear multiple hats, and be part of a supportive, family-oriented practice—not just clock in and out—we’d love to meet you.
