Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including beginning academics, physical development and social emotional development
• Help maintain a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior support techniques
• Support the development of lesson plans, activities, and assessments that promote childhood development
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and be safe in
• Balance various child centered needs within a classroom and the program as a whole
• Handle confidential information responsibly while supporting students’ academic and emotional growth

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in preschool, toddler care, or early childhood education settings is preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with students, parents, and team members
• Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Willingness to learn and engage in our classrooms
• Willingness to collaborate with our teaching and administrative staff
• Must have or be willing to pursue 9 college credits of early childhood education at a local college- this is to meet the teaching requirements for Missouri Accreditation

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
