Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including beginning academics, physical development and social emotional development
- Help maintain a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior support techniques
- Support the development of lesson plans, activities, and assessments that promote childhood development
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and be safe in
- Balance various child centered needs within a classroom and the program as a whole
- Handle confidential information responsibly while supporting students’ academic and emotional growth
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in preschool, toddler care, or early childhood education settings is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with students, parents, and team members
- Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Willingness to learn and engage in our classrooms
- Willingness to collaborate with our teaching and administrative staff
- Must have or be willing to pursue 9 college credits of early childhood education at a local college- this is to meet the teaching requirements for Missouri Accreditation

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
