- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children
- Provide specialized care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting to support their developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns to foster trust and transparency
- Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or well-being according to legal requirements
- Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good conduct and emotional regulation
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that complies with health and safety standards for childcare settings
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs is highly valued
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles across different age groups including infants, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Training or certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure immediate response during emergencies
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom experience that promote positive interactions among children
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus
- Knowledge of early childhood education practices and classroom management techniques enhances your ability to create a nurturing environment
