Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with clients, primarily children between ages 2-9 with autism, to implement behavior intervention plans and support their development. This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring that clients receive the best possible support in their daily activities.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment decisions.
- Provide direct support to clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective strategies for behavior management.
- Utilize medical terminology appropriately when discussing client care with other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disorders is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis to track client progress effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
- Skills in child-led play techniques, high engagement with play activities, creativity to hold attention of children and facilitate fun atmosphere during sessions.
- Reliable attendance to maintain regularly scheduled client appointments.
