Assistant Academy Director / Curriculum Specialist

Bright Bear Academy is seeking an experienced Assistant Academy Director / Curriculum Specialist to join our growing early childhood education team. We are looking for a motivated professional with strong leadership skills and experience supporting enrollment growth and high-quality programming.

Position Type: Full Time
Schedule: Open availability required

Responsibilities:

• Support daily center operations and leadership team
• Curriculum oversight of the program, ensuring developmentally appropriate learning and alignment with state standards
• Assist with curriculum planning and classroom quality improvement
• Support staff supervision, coaching, and professional development
• Help manage student enrollment and family communication
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations
• Provide guidance and support for children’s behavioral needs when necessary

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience as an Assistant Director
• Proven track record of high enrollment conversion and family engagement
• EEC Massachusetts Director II certification required
• Experience with children’s behavioral support preferred
• First Aid / CPR certification
• PQR Registry enrollment
• StrongStart 2.0 Essentials training
• Must pass Massachusetts background check (CORI/SORI)
