As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Bright AV, you will play a vital role in fueling company growth by identifying, qualifying, and initiating new business relationships with Fortune 1000 and enterprise-level corporate clients.

Position Overview

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Bright AV, you will play a vital role in fueling company growth by identifying, qualifying, and initiating new business relationships with Fortune 1000 and enterprise-level corporate clients. This role is focused on prospecting new logos and driving pipeline activity to contribute $3M in annual revenue through strategic outreach and lead conversion.


New Client Acquisition & Lead Generation (40%)


  • Source, engage, and qualify new client opportunities aligned with Bright AV’s core services in AV production, creative, virtual, hybrid events.


  • Target corporate marketing teams, internal communications leads, and enterprise-level meeting planners with tailored, insight-driven outreach strategies.


  • Manage outbound prospecting efforts via email, LinkedIn, industry events, and warm introduction campaigns.


  • Utilize Bright AV’s ideal client profiles and vetting criteria to identify high-value leads.


  • Maintain a cadence of strategic prospecting activities and track engagement metrics within CRM.


Sales Development & Revenue Growth (30%)


  • Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities through thoughtful discovery, needs analysis, and tailored proposal development.


  • Manage the RFP process with oversight from DOSM and President for all qualified, new business opportunities 


  • Contribute to a personal revenue goal of $2,000,000 annually through closed/won opportunities with new clients.


  • Leverage tools like Pipedrive, Intellivent, PandaDoc, Teamwork, Mailchimp and G-Suite tools to manage pipeline activity and support proposal workflows.


Strategic Outreach & Industry Engagement (15%)


  • Research, plan, attend and represent Bright AV at relevant conferences, networking events, and hosted activations to generate leads.


  • Help implement email campaigns and thought leadership outreach, leveraging Bright AV's "Bright Ideas" newsletter and branded content.


  • Collaborate with the DOSM and Design Director to create and share sales resources, speaker notes, and RFP support materials to increase close rates.


Sales Support & Collaboration (15%)


  • Work cross-functionally with leadership, marketing, creative, and technical teams to scope and propose impactful client solutions.


  • Coordinate with the President and DOSM for deal handoffs, pricing strategy, and contract development.


  • Support CRM hygiene and internal sales reporting processes to improve forecasting and team efficiency.


Required Experience & Qualifications


  • 3–5 years in sales, business development, or client-facing roles, ideally in event production, agency services, or B2B marketing solutions.


  • Strong communication and consultative selling skills with C-suite or director-level stakeholders.


  • Demonstrated ability to self-generate opportunities and nurture leads through complex buying cycles.


  • Familiarity with AV, creative production, or experiential marketing preferred.


  • Proficient in budget development and use of CRM tools (Pipedrive preferred), proposal software (PandaDoc), and quoting software (Intellivent).


Compensation: Starting at $90,000 up to $150,000 (total earnings), based on experience and commission.


Final offers are commensurate with prior experience, your specific skill set, and may vary from the amount above.
