Nursing Learning Center Skills Lab Assistant (part-time, 17.5 Hours/week)

This role plays a vital part in ensuring lab readiness and functionality by managing the setup and takedown of equipment and materials. The Lab Assistant collaborates closely with the NLC Operations Manager and NLC Facilities Supervisor to coordinate the daily lab schedules and maintain an organized, efficient, and student-centered learning environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM (Fall & Winter Semesters)

What You’ll Do In This Position

• Prepare and set up lab environments for Skills 1-5 weekly labs
• Assist in the maintenance and inventory of equipment, supplies, and manikins
• Clean, reset, and store materials after Skills labs
• Ensure safety and adherence to lab policies
• Provide limited managerial support, such as leading a team of 2-3 circulation clerks to assist in the Skills lab preparation and setup/takedown

Preferred

• Associate’s degree or coursework in healthcare, nursing, science, or a related field
• Simulation lab experience
• Familiarity with lab safety procedures

Pay Grade: 47

Typical Starting Pay: $19.25 to $24.50 an hour
