Clery, Communications and Training Coordinator
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate overall Clery, communication, and training for the Integrity and Compliance Office. Additionally, the position will be responsible for providing operational support to the Integrity and Compliance Office.
What You Will Be Doing In This Position
Manage Clery, communication, and training efforts of the ICO.
Supervise student, and other part time employees within the ICO.
Assign employees work tasks, projects, research, etc. that align with and support the operations or administrative functions of the ICO.

Clery, Communications and Training Coordinator
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate overall Clery, communication, and training for the Integrity and Compliance Office. Additionally, the position will be responsible for providing operational support to the Integrity and Compliance Office.
What You Will Be Doing In This Position
Manage Clery, communication, and training efforts of the ICO.
- Assist with identifying and maintain a list of Campus Security Authorities (CSA).
- Provide training and communications to CSAs and other across campus related to Clery and other ICO efforts.
- Develop, maintain, and implement a strategic communications plan for the Integrity and Compliance Office.
- Conduct research to identify key publics and their motivations.
- Create campus messaging about compliance and develop office marketing materials and develop a working relationship with University Communications.
- Promote the code of conduct and confidential reporting systems (including the compliance hotline) through educational materials and training.
- Plan campus outreach and training efforts and events, including quarterly compliance coordinator meetings.
- Manage the office’s online and social media presence.
- Create and edit content for the Integrity and Compliance Office website.
- Provide, coordinate, track, and schedule compliance trainings across campus.
- Work with management to develop effective compliance trainings that help the campus community understand and comply with relevant standards and policies.
- Maintain rosters of compliance coordinators and other key contacts.
- Curate and write the monthly compliance newsletter.

Minimum Education/experience Required:
What qualifies you for this role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 3–5 years (part-time or full-time) relevant experience and/or training
- Education or experience in a compliance or legal office setting or similar complex organization

- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU, proven maturity, and good judgment
- Outstanding oral and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in word processing programs and web-based applications
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Detail oriented

- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to manage deadlines and perform at a high level in short time frames
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Ability to work closely and effectively with high-level university administrators
- Ability to work effectively as a consummate team player with attorneys and staff in the Office of the General Counsel
- Ability to stay current with information technology developments
- Training in editing
- Experience in an office setting, especially assisting with legal or compliance related work
- Proficiency in design programs (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)
- Basic understanding of federal and state regulatory environment in higher education
- Working knowledge of university structure, policy, and operations
