What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant, Endocrinology position at Brigham & Women's Physicians Organization?
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our Endocrinology and Suite onsite Monday through Friday onsite from 9:00am-5:30pm.
Our Medical Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to clinical support, the Medical Assistant ensures a smooth patient flow within the practice and assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physician or advanced practitioner. Our Medical Assistants are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the multidisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
- Assisting during office visits (rooming/vitals, examinations, procedures, immunizations, and treatments as directed)
- Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (administrative support, phone calls, test results, prior authorizations, coordination of care, etc.)
- Maintaining neat, clean, stocked, and safe exam rooms and patient care areas - Interacting with patients and their families in a professional and courteous manner consistent with their needs.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience
Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required
StronglyPreferred:
Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1 year professional experience
National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
