What are the responsibilities and job description for the GI Certified Surgical Technologist - Faulkner position at Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital?
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Surgical Technician Certification required- ARC/STSA - Accredited Surgical Technology Program - NBSTSA - Certification is conferred by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Current experience in OR or Ambulatory Surgery setting is required
- Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Knowledge of septic and aseptic technique and be conscious of both at all times
- Knowledge of care and safe handling of endoscopes
- Demonstrate awareness of/sensitivity to patient/family rights and cultural/religious beliefs and age-specific needs
