Job Summary

Qualifications
- Oversee facility operations, maintenance, and repair activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and hospital standards.
- Develop and implement facilities management strategies to support hospital expansion, sustainability initiatives, and future growth.
- Manage environmental services, ensuring a clean, safe and patient-friendly environment across all hospital areas. Ensures compliance with Infection Control Guidelines.
- Coordinates safety and emergency preparedness programs, maintaining readiness and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage budgets for facilities and support services, optimizing resources and ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to align facilities and support services with patient care needs and operational goals.
- Leads the assessment and integration of new technologies and systems to improve service efficiency and quality.
- Oversee vendor and contract management for facilities services, ensuring high performance and cost-effectiveness from external partners. Outside and within a union environment
- Implement performance metrics to evaluate and enhance service delivery, safety standards and operational efficiency across facilities and support services.
- Strong knowledge of facilities management, safety regulations, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Proven leadership managing multi-functional teams and complex operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with hospital staff and external vendors
- Financial management expertise, including budgeting, resource allocation and cost control within facilities operations.
- Proficiency in performance improvement methodologies and data-driven decision making to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Stay proactive on current emerging trends in facilities management, sustainability, and healthcare infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 8 – 10 years of experience in facilities management or healthcare operations
- 5 - 7 years in a leadership role
- 3-5 in a healthcare setting preferred
