Brierley Associates is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a CAD Technician who specializes in AutoCAD Civil 3D. This candidate will work directly with dynamic teams of engineers to develop building solutions that meet a clients’ needs and unique job-specific requirements. As a CAD Technician you will implement engineered designs and coordinate within all project boundaries and limitations. Work includes creating both 3D and 2D models for tunnel profiling and alignment, geotechnical analysis, and surface/grading coordination and analysis. The candidate should be able to work in a self-directed manner in all aspects of the engineering design and document production process. The ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines is essential.
Requirements:
- Degree in related discipline (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering) is preferred
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D with emphasis in geotechnical modeling, tunnel profiling and alignment, and surface and grading creation
- Experience in MicroStation preferred
- Experience and understanding of Revit is preferred
- Working knowledge of drawing production and standard construction techniques and principles
- Experience in other platforms and data exchange between BIM platforms is preferred
Responsibilities include:
- Tunnel Profiling and Alignment
- Maintaining company standards while developing 2D construction drawings for use in the field
- Visualization analysis
- Geotechnical Modeling
- Improve/Enhance VDC workflows for AutoCAD Civil 3D with other similar BIM platforms including Revit and AutoCAD
- Surface and Grading Creation/Modeling
- Model Analysis and Visual Analysis
