Administrative
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support management of all medications entering and exiting the building using internal protocols
- Provide support to the Intake & Medication Coordinator with regard to managing medication sheets
- Monitor medication inventory and request refills when needed
- Monitor documentation for new medications and/or medication changes
- Oversight of medication self-administration protocol and ensure follow through of program participant. Report any discrepancies to Clinical Director
- Support and train recovery specialist staff members by mentoring and/or monitoring job responsibilities and expectations
- Attend and participate in weekly clinical and staff meeting
- Participate in all required trainings
- Provide supervision and clinical oversight to the recovery program milieu for evening and weekend shifts
- Responsible for maintaining the structure of the recovery environment to promote growth and development of our program participants
- Facilitate evening clinical and/or psychoeducational groups
- Transport clients via program van to meetings, appointments, social/recreational events when requested
- Provide emergency coverage, including sick time, vacation and holiday coverage
- Participate in the program on-call rotation
- Provide support to the Program Manager
- High School Diploma and or equivalency required
- Two years addiction recovery experience recommended
- Individual and group counseling experience preferred
- Must have up to date Massachusetts driver's license
- Participate in BSAS mandated medication specialist training
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of staff team
- Ability to manage crisis and experience with de-escalation
- Ability to communicate with emergency services (i.e. Ambulance, fire and police).
