The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close, ensuring GAAP compliance, and contributing to process and system improvements. This role works independently and collaborates with leadership to strengthen financial integrity and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, balance, and analyze financial reports, ledgers, and accounting transactions.
- Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, cost analysis, and variance review.
- Support year-end close and prepare audit schedules.
- Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP; identify and resolve non-conformance issues.
- Maintain internal controls and manage document retention and regulatory compliance.
- Process inter-company invoices and code/verify insurance, loan, property tax, and vendor invoices.
- Research and resolve complex accounting issues; contribute to process and system improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP), ERP/GL systems, and Microsoft Office.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communicator with the ability to handle confidential information and work independently or collaboratively.
