CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT
Busy chiropractic office seeking a friendly, health-conscious, enthusiastic individual and the right candidate to fill the additional Front Desk-Office Assistant position.
Overview:
As a Front Desk-Office Assistant, you will be an integral part of our chiropractic team, providing support to both the doctor and patients to ensure a positive and effective care experience. You will be responsible for the administrative duties, and help maintane an organized and welcoming environment for everyone in the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction:
- Greet and check in patients as they arrive at the clinic.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring the calendar is up to date.
- Collect patient intake forms and help with patient history documentation.
- Provide Patient billing information pertaining to Insurance coverage, details on such as, copays, co-insurance, deductibles etc.
- Maintain responsibility to assure patient insurance guidelines are monitored and communicated with the Head CA- Ins. Admin. or Office Manager.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Responsible to maintain an organized and well managed patient recall system.
- Process insurance verifications and billing details.
- Handle financial transactions, including copays/ general account payments.
- Keep clinic areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Clinical Support:
- Assist in managing the clinic’s inventory of supplies and order as needed.
- Ensure that treatment rooms are prepared and sanitized between patient visits.
- Serve as a liaison between doctor and patient.
- Caring for people, required to maintain a level of empathy and compassion.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the chiropractor and other team members to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Attend team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic needs.
- Assist with marketing efforts, such as patient outreach and educational events.
- Team player, dependable and punctual. Ability to cover other shifts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting, preferably in chiropractic or physical therapy (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive patient information.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, EMR software). ChiroTouch a plus.
- Knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding, preferably for chiropractic.
- Willingness to learn and grow in Chiropractic.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
