What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiscal Assistant position at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District?
The Fiscal Assistant works under the direction of the Director of Business Services and is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the district. The position performs accounting, budgeting, grant management, financial reporting, auditing, and compliance functions while assisting in the administration of the district's business office.

Responsible For
- Process invoices for out-of-district tuition and transportation.
- Maintain district accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), GASB standards, DESE regulations, and district policies.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile bank accounts, revolving funds, withholding accounts, and other district financial accounts.
- Oversee grant revenues, expenditures, reimbursement requests, drawdowns, and required state and federal reporting.
- Process quarterly Medicaid reimbursement reporting.
- Assist with budget development, monitoring, amendments, and year-end projections.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and expenditure analyses.
- Assist with annual independent audits and preparation of required supporting documentation.
- Assist in completing DESE End-of-Year Financial Reports.
- Prepare GASB schedules and other required financial reports.
- Prepare Department of Revenue Excess and Deficiency Certification.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and district financial regulations.
- Provide accounting support and financial analysis to the Director of Business Services.
- Perform other accounting and business office duties as assigned by the Director of Business Services.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting preferred
- Proficient in ERP or financial management software (iVisions, Munis)
