Position Summary

Edge Sports Global is seeking dependable, motivated individuals to join our Operations Team as were hiring both Rink Assistant's and Zamboni Driver's. These positions play a vital role in maintaining exceptional ice conditions, ensuring facility cleanliness, and providing an outstanding experience for our guests.

No prior ice rink experience is required. We are committed to training individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Team members may begin as a Zamboni Assistant and progress into a Zamboni Driver role through successful completion of training and demonstrated competency.

Experience

• No prior experience required—we will train the right candidate.
• Previous experience in facility maintenance, customer service, or ice arena operations is a plus but not required.

Essential Responsibilities of a Zamboni Driver

• Rink Assistants help Zamboni Drivers with daily ice maintenance and arena operations.
• Perform general facility cleaning and maintenance throughout the building.
• Prepare ice maintenance equipment and assist with routine upkeep.
• Monitor locker rooms, benches, spectator areas, and common spaces to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and operational support.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to all guests.
• Complete additional operational duties as assigned.
• Operate the Zamboni and other ice maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high-quality ice conditions for public skating, hockey, figure skating, and special events.
• Complete daily inspections and basic maintenance of ice resurfacing equipment.
• Monitor ice conditions and make adjustments as needed.
• Assist with edging, ice repairs, blade changes, snow removal, and other maintenance tasks as trained.
• Identify facility maintenance issues and communicate them to management.
• Serve as a leader by modeling safe work practices and operational excellence.

General Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout an entire shift.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• Frequently required to talk, hear, and communicate effectively.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Schedule & Attendance

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and early mornings as business needs require.
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older.
• Valid Drivers License
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to successfully complete Edge Sports Global's Zamboni training program before operating equipment independently.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
