What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Banking Associate position at Bridgewater Bank?
We are seeking a meticulous and self-directed Commercial Banking Associate to provide administrative management of a diverse loan portfolio to ensure client requests are promptly completed and communicates effectively with the Lending Hub regarding management of loan portfolio. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Commercial Real Estate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily loan function activities including delivery of initial disclosures to the client, initiating closing process, processing requests from client for payment and advances for loans, and prepare loan payoffs.
- Lead weekly meetings for appointed lending team.
- Ensure timely compliance with federal regulations (Flood, appraisal disclosures, credit reporting, etc.).
- Assemble and organize loan files electronically and completes checklist. This includes but is not limited to collection of relationship documents. Files original documents per bank policies and procedures.
- Resolve closing exceptions from post-close review and provide corrective action.
- Resolve exceptions on lenders exception reports.
- Initiate pre-close due diligence with client (order credit report, flood determination, appraisal, title commitment, O&E, and UCC search).
- Resource for internal staff, clients, and outside agencies by performing a variety of customer service activities including responding to requests, researching discrepancies, and resolving issues.
- Manage internal/external requests and financial transactions within the terms of the loan documentation. Includes advances, payments, wire transfers, and payoffs.
- Adhere to the bank’s policies, procedures, security requirements and government regulations including (but not limited to) BSA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years of Commercial loan processing and/or documentation experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of rules, regulations and policies relating to loan origination
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The typical annual base pay range for this role is between $26.20 - $34.10. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
