Overview:

The Maintenance Team is the backbone of Holiday Mountain’s operations. Team members are responsible for keeping the mountain, grounds, lifts, snowmaking systems, and facilities operating safely and efficiently throughout the year. This is a hands-on position for hardworking individuals who enjoy working outdoors, work well under pressure, and take pride in maintaining a first-class guest experience.

Winter operations require flexibility, with rotating shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays depending on weather conditions and operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the resort.
• Assist with snowmaking operations, including setup, monitoring, maintenance, and teardown of equipment.
• Perform lift maintenance, inspections, and routine servicing.
• Maintain and repair buildings, grounds, parking lots, fencing, and other resort infrastructure.
• Operate a variety of equipment including skid steers, tractors, utility vehicles, snowmobiles, and power tools.
• Assist with trail preparation, signage installation, and seasonal setup and breakdown.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Possibiliy of advancing into a Snowmaking Manager position.

This position requires:

• Scheduling and managing snowmaking crews.
• Overseeing all snowmaking operations and production goals.
• Monitoring weather conditions and making strategic snowmaking decisions.
• Working long hours outdoors in cold and challenging weather conditions.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts whenever conditions are favorable for snowmaking.

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Mechanical, electrical, welding, plumbing, or heavy equipment experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and possible overnight snowmaking operations during the winter season.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team.

Pay Scale: $22-$28 per hour plus benefits
