JOB SUMMARY: The Finance Manager acts as a reliable partner to leadership, plans and coordinates the budget and forecasting process, and provides financial analysis to management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Work with management to develop forecasts and provide leadership for annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes
- Develop and maintain budgeting tools for creating product/plant cost and SG&A cost budgeting and forecasting, including 3-statement budget model
- Provide analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling assistance in support of Company objectives in the areas of decision support, and analysis of historical results
- Analyze variances between budgeted and actual revenue and cost
- Provide regular profitability analysis by product type, production line, customer, etc.
- Manage and coordinate labor reporting and analysis
- Assist plant management in identifying cost saving initiatives
- Develop reporting and analytics for senior management to monitor operating performance, including ERP system dashboards
- Maintain and develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
- Prepare monthly financial review deck for presentation to Director team, explaining and analyzing business results
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve financial performance and partner with department heads to drive action against those opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with departments on new project costing and return on investment, including production line or facility expansion, efficiency projects, etc.
- Provide input on new product pricing
- Communicate results clearly in both verbal and written formats to peer and leadership audiences and provide guidance on financial analysis issues to manufacturing management
- Assist in month-end close process
- Develop and maintain strong industry and competitive knowledge
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7 years of cost accounting and manufacturing analysis experience
- Experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred
- ERP experience preferred
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word skills required
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail while maintaining an ability to adapt to a fast-paced business environment
- Ability to act as problem solver and offer informed solutions to improve process or reporting
