ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our restaurant-lounge. Answering to the Food & Beverage Director, You will ensure the restaurant’s success by training and coaching qualified staff, monitoring customer satisfaction, and making sure that all products and beverages are ordered in the correct quantities. Working position as supervisor & bartender with an high hourly rate of pay plus great tips. High energy hotel restaurant lounge.
Essential Duties:
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Must be able to walk, kneel, sit, stand, and bend arms and knees without assistance.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and late hours when necessary.
- Able to safely utilize and operate all kitchen tools and equipment.
- Oversee food preparation and conduct daily inspection of restaurant, bar-lounge, and equipment, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards. Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant & back bar.
- Working role. Supervisor and bartender-server on duty with other team members.
- Head bartender, floor supervisor, restaurant manager duties during shift.
- Complete nightly shift report.
- Supervise Friday & Saturday night jazz music event in the lounge.
Specific Requirements of the Role:
- Manage inventory and purchases of supplies.
- Train and coach staff members.
- Organize employee schedules.
- Liquor orders and proper PAR levels.
- Ensure cleanliness of all service areas.
- Create new cocktails with the Director of F & B.
- Ensure guest-customer satisfaction.
- Acting MOD while on duty.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Food and Beverage.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of previous restaurant experience as a lead-head trained bartender-server, or restaurant supervisor, or restaurant manager experience required; hotel food and beverage experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse personnel, such as food vendors, cooks, restaurant managers, and servers.
- Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
- Trained by bartender school preferred.
- POS experience required.
