Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is looking for a Night Auditor Supervisor to join our team! As the Night Auditor Supervisor, you will oversee and manage the overnight Front Office operations while ensuring accurate completion of the nightly audit process, exceptional guest service, and a safe and secure hotel environment. You will be responsible for supervising the overnight front desk team, maintaining financial accuracy, resolving guest concerns, and serving as the overnight leader in the absence of senior management. The Night Auditor Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless transition between business days while upholding brand standards and delivering outstanding hospitality.
Essential Duties:
- Lead and supervise the overnight Front Office team, ensuring exceptional guest service and efficient hotel operations.
- Oversee all overnight front desk functions, including guest check-in, check-out, reservations, billing, and guest inquiries.
- Complete the nightly audit by balancing and reconciling daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy of all hotel revenue and reports.
- Provide training, coaching, and support to Night Auditors and overnight Front Desk Associates.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, cash handling standards, and brand requirements.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Ability to work a flexible overnight schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Specific requirements of the role:
- Supervise all overnight Front Office operations, ensuring accurate completion of the night audit and end-of-day processes.
- Review and verify guest accounts, room charges, tax postings, cash transactions, and credit card settlements for accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial, operational, and management reports.
- Monitor and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally while serving as the primary overnight manager on duty.
- Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, cash controls, and data security standards.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and other departments to maintain smooth overnight operations and prepare for the following business day.
- Monitor hotel safety and security throughout the overnight shift and respond appropriately to emergencies or operational issues.
- Assist with scheduling, onboarding, training, and performance development of overnight Front Office associates.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate important operational updates to hotel leadership.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and hospitality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Previous hotel Front Office or Night Audit experience required; supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; able to delegate responsibilities and communicate professionally with guests, associates, and management.
- Excellent customer service, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and night audit software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
