BEACH ATTENDANT
ABOUT US: Hero Beach Club is a 30-room boutique hotel in Montauk, NY featuring original 1950s architecture and modern amenities.
ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for a Beach Attendant to join our team! In this role, you will oversee the safety and enjoyment of guests at our beach and pool facilities by monitoring activities, enforcing rules, and delivering exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, comfort working outdoors, and a guest-first attitude are a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Oversee guest safety and enjoyment at the beach and pool
- Monitor activities to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations
- Provide excellent customer service and answer guest questions
- Maintain a clean and tidy beach/pool area, including proper trash disposal
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Must be able to perform all physical duties of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Enforce beach/pool rules and regulations
- Complete daily paperwork and maintain accurate activity records
- Must be able to swim and be comfortable in open water
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including pool cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment upkeep
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification required
- Knowledge of beach/pool safety rules and regulations
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Prior experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant preferred, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of pool maintenance and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
