Lead Automotive Service Technician

**Job Summary**

Bridgestone Americas is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Mechanic to join our team. As a Senior Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills and be able to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical individuals. You should also have a strong understanding of rapidly changing automotive technology and be committed to staying current through continuous paid formal training.

We offer a competitive salary range of $23.80 - $47.34 and opportunities for advancement in our performance-based compensation model known as flat-rate pay. This system rewards skilled professionals with a predetermined amount for each eligible task, fostering a culture of efficiency and swift task accomplishment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair complex vehicle systems to specifications
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles
• Must have a minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment
• A.S.E. certification in at least 5 (five) of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the five) is required
• Maintains Federal, State and Local certification/license where applicable
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
• Reading, writing and math skills
