What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sommelier position at Bridges?
Bridges is an acclaimed restaurant in Chinatown, and we’re looking for a sommelier to join our wine team with confidence, warmth, and intention.
What you'll do:
● Provide clear and enthusiastic wine recommendations (BTG and bottles) to guests.
● Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menus, both beverage and food.
● Stock all BTG bottles, a la carte bottles and dessert wines as needed, to ensure everything is
available for service.
● Keep wine fridges, eurocaves, and wine storage organized and clean.
● Guide staff on all wine BTG selections, communicating all necessary details about region,
structure, pairings, etc.
● Assist with monthly inventory.
● Attend bi-weekly wine classes.
● Receive and put away orders; bring cases from the cellar to stock on the floor.
