Position Overview
Bridges Outreach is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Part-Time Grant Writer to support and grow our foundation, corporate, and government funding. This role will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, writing and submitting proposals, and managing grant reporting.
The Grant Writer will work closely with the leadership and program teams to clearly communicate the impact of Bridges’ work and help secure funding to expand services. This position is part-time (20–25 hours per week) with a flexible hybrid schedule, including some in-person meetings at our Summit, NJ office.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities
- Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials
- Manage the grant calendar and ensure timely submissions and reporting
- Prepare grant reports and track outcomes with program staff
- Maintain accurate grant records and documentation
- Assist with proposal budgets and supporting materials
- Support stewardship and relationship management with funders
Qualifications
- 3 years of nonprofit grant writing experience
- Demonstrated success securing foundation or government grants
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Ability to translate program outcomes and data into clear, compelling narratives
- Passion for work addressing homelessness and housing insecurity
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
