What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lactation Consultant position at Bridges Lactation?
Bridges Lactation provides evidence-based and accessible lactation and infant feeding support to families in the DC Metro area and is actively hiring an additional IBCLC contractor to provide care to more families in home, office in Gaithersburg, and virtually.
You’ll get competitive compensation (percentage based structure) and a flexible schedule. Regular commitment is expected but there is flexibility with when and how many hours you are available each week.
Provider Qualifications:
- Active IBCLC certification.
- Active liability insurance.
- Clean background check
- Additional continuing education in oral ties, bottle refusal (Susan Howard or Rachel O’Brien), and flange F.I.T.S.
- Reliable transportation
Optional but preferred:
- Spanish language preferred but not required.
- Additional certifications/license: OT, SLP, PT, RDN, or RN
