Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight & Standards
- Oversee dining programs across all Bridges Health–managed senior communities, ensuring a consistent, high-quality, and resident-centered culinary experience.
- Emphasize creativity, signature recipes, and accommodation of special dietary needs while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
- Uphold pristine kitchen and dining standards, ensuring food safety, proper handling, and adherence to all sanitation requirements.
- Ensure that every menu reflects excellence in presentation, taste, and nutritional value.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship for all dining management staff, emphasizing best practices in purchasing, hospitality, and cost management.
- Foster a culture of hospitality, service excellence, and culinary creativity across all communities.
- Collaborate with Administrators and department heads to resolve community-specific dining challenges, elevate service quality, and enhance the overall resident experience.
- Develop and implement systems, procedures, and controls to manage labor, dining operations, maintenance, and equipment costs.
- Oversee budgeting, purchasing, menu planning, customer service, hospitality training, and food service quality assurance.
- Conduct regular audits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and nutritional standards.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to drive measurable improvements in dining operations.
- Support communities in resolving issues related to food and beverage management, dining service, training, and cost containment.
- Promote dining experiences that highlight atmosphere, food presentation, and sensory appeal, ensuring menus are both delicious and nutrient-dense, designed specifically with seniors in mind.
- Partner with marketing and clinical teams to integrate culinary initiatives promoting resident engagement, specialty focuses such as brain health, and overall well-being into Centers of Excellence.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management, culinary arts, hospitality, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the food service industry, preferably including roles including Executive Chef and Food Services Director.
- Regional or multi-location management experience within senior living, skilled nursing, or long-term care strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in budget management, staff development, and quality assurance.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent required.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent credential preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- In-depth understanding of food service health and sanitation requirements.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
- Proficient in regulatory compliance related to dietary services.
- Proven ability to deliver innovative dining programs that enhance the resident experience.
