Qualifications
The Paramedic Instructor will be responsible for instruction of the students. The instructor will be responsible to be familiar with the material and be able to deliver it to the student in such a way that it invites and encourages learning. Instructors will be involved in the development of content of the course. Instructors will also instruct in a lab and skills environment. Instructors will be expected to maintain proficiency in instructing techniques and styles.

- Proof of knowledge in the related field of instruction.
- Paramedic specific skills and instruction. Will need to have current Paramedic certificate or higher and one year of service in the paramedic field.
- Skill pass off will need to have EMS instructor at the Paramedic level.

- Delivery of course material to students.
- Be familiar with course curriculum and standards.
- Assist in the development of the course curriculum.
- Ensure that course objectives and outcomes are met.
- Model professionalism within the classroom and the community.
- Assist with scheduling of didactic, clinical, and field pass-offs.
- Observe the progress of the students within the class and make suggestions to the Program Director and Lead Instructor on improvements that need to implemented.
- Ensure the program follows guidelines and conditions necessary to meet the standards of COE.
- Strictly follows policies and procedures.
- Completes tasks accurately and on time.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
- Works well in group problem solving situations.
