We are seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Superintendent to join our residential construction team. This position works alongside the Superintendent to help manage the day-to-day operations of multiple new home construction projects. Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites throughout every phase of construction.
- Manage onsite materials by organizing, staging, and ensuring products are protected from damage and weather.
- Perform material runs and pick up supplies from local vendors to keep projects moving.
- Receive, inspect, and verify material deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Assist in coordinating deliveries to ensure materials arrive when needed.
- Complete daily jobsite walks to identify quality, safety, or cleanliness issues.
- Support the Superintendent by following up with subcontractors and helping ensure work is completed on schedule.
- Assist with punch lists and verify completed work meets company quality standards.
- Install temporary protection and maintain completed work to prevent damage during construction.
- Help prepare homes for municipal inspections and ensure jobsites are inspection-ready.
- Operate equipment and perform light carpentry or general labor tasks as needed.
- Keep accurate records of jobsite progress using photos and construction management software.
- Maintain a professional attitude and positive relationships with subcontractors, vendors, homeowners, and team members.
- Represent the company with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of residential construction experience preferred (carpentry, framing, project coordination, or related field).
- Basic knowledge of residential construction methods and building practices.
- Ability to read construction plans is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and construction management software.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
