What are the responsibilities and job description for the Duty Officer position at Bridger Aerospace?
Bridger Aerospace is seeking a Duty Officer who will assist the Operations Center Manager in monitoring daily operations and communication. The Duty Officer position is an opportunity to learn how fire aviation works, expand your knowledge of commercial operations in a multi-faceted environment, and interact with industry professionals, pilots, mechanics, and administrative personnel. As a duty officer, you act as a conduit for communication and information to flow within the company. Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.

• Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent critical thinking skills, strong initiative, and close attention to detail
• Experience or an avid interest in aviation
• Familiarize oneself with company GOMs, OpSpecs, contracts, and procedures.
• Make timely decisions to complex challenges using company knowledge and data
• Coordinate logistics for mechanic and pilot crews
• Coordinate company flight requests
• Create and deliver daily ops briefs to company leadership and managers.
• Assist the Operation Manager in being able to optimize a company-wide dashboard to communicate operational and administrative performance metrics
• Knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations preferred
• Flexible and dependable with availability to work weekends, nights, days, and holidays
This is an hourly, non-exempt, non-benefits eligible, and seasonal position through the fire season
(approximately October). This role is shift based and may have to work nights and weekends, as well as be on call.
Wage range is $18 - $22 an hour.
This position requires the obtainment of an AOA Badge issued by Bozeman-Yellowstone Int'l Airport and must pass a DOT drug test.
