Plan, internalize, and facilitate standards-aligned, engaging Spanish lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and high school readiness levels.
Implement formal and informal language assessments, analyze student data to pivot instruction, and update gradebooks weekly.
Establish strong, cooperative partnerships with families, providing weekly updates on student progress.
Uphold a positive classroom behavior management system aligned with campus-wide character initiatives.
Utilize technology effectively as an educational tool to improve language acquisition and manage work-related tasks.
Dedicate 40 hours per week to instruction, meetings, professional development, and school community duties.
Required:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
Certification: Active Florida State Teaching Certification in Spanish (K-12).
Skills: Native or near-native Spanish fluency, strong classroom management for high school/middle school dynamics, and excellent interpersonal communication.
Compliance: Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Spanish, Foreign Language Education, or a related field (eligible for salary supplement).
Prior instructional experience teaching 8th or 9th-grade students.
