JOB TITLE:
Title I Academic Interventionist DEPARTMENT/BUILDING: Martin G. Atkins Elementary
REPORTS TO:
Building Principal & Academic Coach GENERAL SUMMARY: Title I Interventionist is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and supporting the Multi-Tiered systems of support (MTSS) by working collaboratively with staff in Tier II and Tier III practices and implementing Tier III interventions to enhance students’ literacy and/or math skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, academic coach, administration and district personnel to promote student achievement
2. Participate in professional development and work collaboratively with other interventionists
3. Meet with classroom teachers, students and parents to provide progress monitoring results and to provide strategies parents can use to extend learning at home
4. Use student achievement data to modify and adjust instruction
5. Participate in various data dialogue meetings concerning academic progress of at-risk students who are not responding to interventions
6. Maintain student data records
7. Provide Tier II and/or Tier III supplemental instruction using the programs approved by the district
8. Attend scheduled meetings and parent conferences related to instruction PHYSICAL
DEMAND:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. Minimally hold a long-term substitute permit
2. Ability to work full time, 187 days
3. Experience working in an academic school setting preferred
METHOD OF EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintaining weekly Title I logs for federally funded programs
2. Maintaining, organizing and keeping inventory of Title I materials
3. Maintaining documentation necessary to comply with district’s substitute employment agency
