The Senior Manager – Business Operations is role on the Business Operations career path and is a leadership role within the Financial Operations practice. The role supports the growth of the practice through ensuring delivery of successful client engagements, consultant management and development, and business development activities.
The Senior Manager – Business Operations is intended to provide oversight and leadership to multiple client engagements as well as multiple delivery team members in order to ensure client success, manage challenges and obstacles, and keep the client and Bridgepoint aligned on our mutually agreed upon outcomes. This role is for those in the field who have demonstrated the ability to deliver successfully on multiple projects and desire career growth within the Bridgepoint organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Demonstrates skills and abilities to manage the practice’s most challenging clients and projects as an individual contributor and a team/engagement lead.
- Deliver successful projects/solutions, resolve issues, negotiate and build trusting relationships with clients.
- Ability and interest in business development and seeks to identify new potential projects and clients for the practice.
- Ability to identify additional resource needs, manage budgets, people and initiatives.
- Facilitates the exchange of ideas and opportunities in and out of their practice area.
- Endeavors to improve performance through innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Recognized internally and externally as a leader in their field.
Responsibilities will include the above as well as:
Client & Engagement Management
- Manage a portfolio of client engagements, serving as the engagement lead to ensure client and consultant success in executing the scope of work.
- Revenue of projects under management are expected to be $3M-$4M on an annual basis
- Be a billable resource on projects as required and as the situation allows.
- Work with the PMO function within Financial Operations to ensure the engagement management processes and standards are being adhered to.
- Serve as first point of escalation on all projects & consultants assigned.
- Lead at least one strategic initiative each year for the local practice and the entire firm.
- Estimated percentage of time: 30%
Business Development
- Regularly participate in networking events and other activities to develop your personal network of client contracts, and referral partners.
- Participate in new business opportunities including meeting with prospects, defining the scope & resources as well as writing Statements of Work and Proposals.
- Uncover new opportunities through expansion of current projects assigned, Expected revenue from the expansion of existing projects is >$1,000,000
- Nurture relationships with prior clients to future potential opportunities.
- Achieve targeted revenue goal for new business that was agreed upon with practice leadership. The new logo revenue is expected to be >$1M. This along with expansion revenue target above is expected to total >$2M.
- Estimated percentage of time: 50%
Consultant Management & Development
- Manage and support consultant(s) assigned to engagement under management.
- Provide real-time feedback to consultants to ensure their success and engagement
- Manage/direct 6-10 direct reports, including goal setting and career pathing.
- Assist in consultant hiring and on-boarding by working with internal recruiters to identify quality candidates with a target of 10-12 new hires per year (1 per month).
- Embrace a continuous learning mindset and leads various training and development initiative
- Estimated percentage of time 20%
The mix of responsibilities will fluctuate from time to time and will vary depending on the maturity of each market.
Additional qualifications
- 10 years progressive accounting and finance experience.
- CPA or other certification desired.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and motivation for personal success.
- Excellent communication skills to present to executive level clients, internal management and candidates.
- Ability to assess a person’s experience and qualifications to match to Bridgepoint team.
- Self-starter and highly motivated with a strong work ethic and impeccable integrity.
- Team-oriented with a desire to support the firm’s strategic initiatives.
- Exceptional ability to quickly develop strong relationships with team members, clients and candidates.
- Proven ability to manage time well in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Experience managing multiple projects and relationships while meeting critical deadlines

Compensation & Benefits
Specific compensation plans will vary depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the office location, role, KPI’s, skill set and level of experience.
- Base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 – $190,000 USD
- Annual bonus up to 40% (paid quarterly)
